| Created upon Steve Scotts induction to the Track and Field Hall of Fame, this piece is a must for any serious runners collection. Each one is personally signed by Steve Scott, and numbered for authenticity. All proceeds go to the San Marcos Track program, to compensate for the recent budget cuts. Steve Scott, who has held the American mile record of 3:47.69 for 20 years, was inducted into theNational Track & Field Hall of Fame on December 6, 2002. Scott ran a record 136sub-4:00 miles in his career. He was the silver medalist in the 1500 at the 1983 World Championships and placed fifth in the 1500 at the 1988 Olympic Games. Atthe University of California-Irvine, he won the 1987 NCAA Division I 1500-metertitle after winning the 1500 twice and the mile once at three NCAA Division II meets. Steve Scott is now the head Mens and Womens cross country and track coach at Cal State-San Marcos, an NAIA school. |
